Bruce M Smith (Nov 26, 1935 - Sep 9, 2005)

It is with great sadness that we at Lone Oak Companies must inform you that Bruce Smith, our founder and owner passed away at the age of 69 on Friday September 9th due to complications stemming from his 4 month battle with cancer. We know that many of you knew and had dealt with Bruce personally in the past and will be saddened to hear of his passing.

USPS Clarifies Their Clarification

Back in October of 2004, the United States Postal Service issued new wording to help clarify how personal information would be handled in evaluating whether or not a mailpiece is eligable for Standard (or Non-Profit) Mail rates. Unfortunately, the ruling seemed to raise more questions than it answered regarding eligiblity, particularly for non-profit organizations and their fund-raising campaigns.

USPS Files for a Postage Rate Increase

On April 8, 2005 the Postal Service filed for an across-the-board 5.4% rate increase with the Postal Rate Commission(PRC).
